The League of Open Men (LOM) is an NGO focused on improving the quality of life of men.
The League of Open Men (LOM) is an NGO focused on improving the quality of life of men. Our main focus is greater involvement of fathers in the upbringing of children and w-l-b of active fathers and work with anger management. Another key area for LOM is the support of young adults leaving institutional care with adult mentors – www.ipatron.cz. We are eager to start focusing more on men’s health, especially on psychological health (eg depression in men’s lives).

We have in mind two areas in which we would want to have projects: 1) Exchanging experiences in working with fathers, supporting their involvement in raising up kids and working with companies to put the strategy of support of active fatherhood in their company strategies. 2) Men and depression. It slowly becams a topic in Czech Republic, that men are not dealing with their feelings properly and because of that they are in high risk of depression and suicide.
