The Active Citizens Fund events are picking up this spring and there are a number of matchmaking events and conferences that seek to attract the participation of Norwegian organizations.

March 24 will see the launch of the Active Citizens Fund Latvia with a matchmaking event that will seek to bring together organizations from Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Latvia. The ACF Latvia has a focus on strengthening civil society, active citizenship and empowering vulnerable groups. All grants given under this program will be for projects under these priority areas. Partnerships and bilateral cooperation with Norwegian organizations are encouraged.

March will also see the launch of the Active Citizens Fund in Croatia with a subsequent matchmaking seminar to take place in the frst week of April in Zagreb. The focus of the Active Citizens Fund Croatia will be to support projects strengthening active citizenship and empowerment of vulnerable groups, but also projects that enhance the sustainability of civil society. Partnerships and bilateral cooperation with Norwegian organizations will be encouraged.

On May 28, the Active Citizens Fund Portugal, Estonia and Malta will organize an ambitious conference on the role and effects of digitalization on civil society development. The conference will take place in Lisbon and will bring together experts in the field of digitalization and participants from across Europe. See draft program here CONF DIGITAL FOR GOOD.
