The main function of this year’s Forum is to consult with like-minded civil society organisations on the ideas of coordinated actions to support democracy in Europe. Representatives of government, international institutions and donors are invited to share their views. Several possible ideas which will be discussed include joint civic mobilization campaigns, multi-stakeholder dialogues on democracy at local and national level in countries across Europe, advocacy for coordinated response by political decision makers to democracy fragilisation and for an increased role for civil society in the existing institutional mechanisms on rule of law and Democracy at EU level.

The Forum is organized in Bucharest, Romania, on 25 November 2016 and the draft agenda can be found here. For those interested, the registration should be made by filling in the registration form here, by the end of the week (28 October, 2016).

Please, note that the organizers are able to cover the costs for approximately 5 interested organisations, one representative per organisation. Reimbursements can be made for up to 500 Euro per flight. Accommodation in Bucharest for 2 nights can be ensured.
