Aid to victims of human trafficking - from Norway to Romania

A study visit for the Romanian NGO Pro Refugiu Association was carried out under the framework of the EEA Grants 2009 – 2014 project Change and Challenge: Improve social services provided to victims of human trafficking. The visit was organized with the support of the Norwegian partner organization Pro Sentret in May 2015.

On the 25th of February, the Ebony African Organization launched their project “Coalition against hate violence in Hungary”, financed by the Norwegian NGO Fund. The Norwegian Ambassador, H.E. Ms. Tove Skarstein, participated at the opening of the project, and held an introductory speech.

Change and Challenge; Improving social services provided to victims of human trafficking in Romania

Asociatia Pro Refugiu is a Romanian NGO that alongside its partners Foundation People to People, East European Institute for Reproductive Health and Association Global Help will implement between 1 April 2015 and 30 March 2016 the project PRO HEALTH –Improve medical services for victims of human trafficking, financed through EEA Grants 2009-2014, NGO Fund in Romania.

Norwegian examples for Romanian social services

On 26th of March, Caritas Romania released the report "Norway - Romania – a comparative analysis on the financing and provision of social services". The event is part of the project "NGOs stronger together" and brought together experts in the field of social services and civil society representatives from Romania and Norway. They addressed the issue of a coherent policy for financing social services in Romania.

Non-profit organization Persefona z.s., like other similar organizations in the Czech Republic, contributes to improving the lives of its clients, both female and male, through professional legal, psychological, and social work counseling. Norwegian-Bulgarian cooperation in environmental capacity building and environmental protection

The project addresses the need to raise public awareness and develop skills among the target groups (students, environmentalist NGOs and the public) to use Geographic Information Systems (GIS) data. The Norwegian partner, the Norwegian Environmental Agency, has been involved in the project, providing expertise, consulting and taking part in the trainings organized on utilization of GIS for civic advocacy and monitoring of policies for sustainable, nature friendly development.
